I LOVE MY NEEDLES CASE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE BECAUSE ...

"...It has redefined my role at Stark & Stark.  Eleven years ago, I was hired as the PINS police.  It sounds funny, but my job was to come in and oversee PINS and make sure the users were utilizing it to its fullest capacity.  It took a little time, but I managed to master the program.  I loved PINS and the challenges I was faced with on a daily basis.  I guess you can say I became a PINS geek.  I couldn't wait to figure out how to make PINS work more efficiently for us and how to expand on all its capabilities.  Believe it or not, I even enjoyed writing User Defined Reports.

Fortunately, I always had strong support from management which allowed me to ensure everyone became an expert user.  To reinforce our dedication and how serious we were about using PINS, we implemented a rule that everyone would participate in an annual training.  The day I was told by our Chesapeake Interlink trainer that she believed we were almost at a 100% user efficiency level was probably one of the most gratifying days of my career.  Not long after the transition from PINS to Needles,  my future at the firm headed in a new direction.

Today, my life at Stark & Stark is very different.  After years of dedication to the program, I was able to take on the role of Marketing Director at the firm and still continue to manage Needles.  I believe Needles basically runs on its own.  There is very little maintenance on my end.  Occasionally, I am challenged with writing yet another User Defined Report or creating a new merge document, but for the most part I serve as a resource to the group.  I can still answer almost any Needles question or resolve any problem that may arise.  If I don't have the answer, I won't think twice about calling a CI trainer.  I have always received wonderful support and I thank you for that.  If Needles was not a sophisticated case management program, I could never handle both job responsibilities.  To this day, I have a very strong attachment to Needles and I'm not willing to ever give that up.  I'm very grateful that the efficiency of Needles has afforded me the opportunity to broaden my horizons."

"... It's proof that you can teach an "old dog" new tricks.  Now I'm not saying that I'm old, but I learned to type on a manual typewriter and when the "selectric" typewriters came out with the little ball that went across -WOW! what an amazing  invention I thought that was.  So you can imagine in these modern times, how overwhelmed I am with all that can be done on a computer. 

I'm an old fashion kind of gal and was very happy and content with my typewriter and the use of carbon paper (can you believe it).  Then the law firm I was working at decided to go the route of the computer age.  Well, I panicked. I was still too young to retire and the thought of jumping ship was out of the question, so I thought I better embark on this new experience of computers.  Cut to the present day and look at me now -not only am I in love with the computers but I wouldn't  think of going into any law office without a case management system, and you can't get better than Needles.

I recently left a law firm after 16 years employment and during the last year or two with them, they had installed the Needles system.  I took to it like a beautiful ship to the crystal blue ocean.  Ten months ago, I decided to sail on and obtain employment with an attorney who was branching out on his own.  He was open to any suggestions I had to help build his firm.  He had been without an assistant for awhile and his files looked like they were hit by an iceberg.  There was no organization and no computer programs.  My first suggestion was that we needed to have Needles.  Lucky for me, he was receptive and we signed up!  I had some additional training over the phone with your wonderful staff and the system was so easy that I was able to train our two assistants in no time. 

It is one of the most user friendly systems around.  It guides you step by step on being able to input all the necessary information you need.  When logging into Needles in the morning, you immediately obtain your checklist which helps plan your day.  I am able to determine everything from who owes me medical records to what Statute is about to expire.  Of course as any law firm will tell you, the Statute of Limitations is THE MOST IMPORTANT date in any case.  With the Needles system you get as many reminders as you want.  The ability to add to your checklist and modify it to your needs is a great advantage, not to mention the convenience of being able to print out reports showing any and all upcoming Statutes.

As a new firm, we sent out Holiday Cards for the first time.  In having a small staff, my boss was reluctant in sending out cards because he felt it would be a time-consuming process in getting the envelopes addressed.  Was he amazed when I printed out our mailing list of over 250 names onto labels in less than one minute.

Form letters take a little more patience in setting up your merges, but as long as you follow the easy step by step directions that Needles provides - anyone can master it.  The convenience it provides is amazing.  When you input a new file,  you immediately provide Needles with your clients' information as well as any insurance information, police reports and medical providers.  With a few short clicks of your mouse, you can automatically send all your opening letters to your word program and just print and mail.

There are so many more wonderful features to the Needles program, but I hope that I touched on a few of the more significant ones.  The bottom line is that once you have mastered the Needles program, you'll see how much time you have saved yourself.  Maybe even enough to treat yourself to a little vacation."

"When one thinks of a needle, one usually thinks of pain.  Perhaps it is time for a flu shot, now that there are plenty of doses available, or maybe it's a blood test that you've been putting off because of the dreaded - needle.  Although the needle is a much maligned device, it is also a miraculous, time-saving, and often life-saving device.

The Needles program has much in common with the sharp, to-the-point needle in that at first glance it is intimidating and can cause fear.  The Needles program to the uninitiated is an instrument to be avoided; however, when gently introduced to the Needles program by one who is knowledgeable and empathetic, like a kindly doctor with his hypodermic needle, the pain is far less than one imagined.

It lets me practice the law I want to and at the same time live the life I want.  My area of practice, Ohio Workers' Compensation law, is not the most profitable area of law out there.  We have to have a lot of clients to stay viable and yet since we get the bulk of our clients from word of mouth, we have to take excellent care of hundreds of them at any time.  Needles lets me do that.

"... Many years ago, I had the pleasure of learning a specialized system for  contractors.  It was a complete system that included Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll and Job Costing. 

The accounting portion was explicit but the job costing was amazing, I was fascinated by the debt of knowledge that could be obtain and reports generated.  Well I tell you that, because here it is some 20 years later and I am involved with another software program equal to that program or better.

Our company has been on Needles since September 2003 and at first it was the practice of getting acclimated to the system, but now I have adapted to the software like two peas in a pod and am still fascinated at its capabilities.  Some people are computer literate but choose to do only the mundane necessary tasks to complete their jobs.  I on the other hand have been attracted to it like a sponge  and is expounding daily on the depth of the capabilities that Needles has to offer.  I was so attracted to Needles and what it could do that I was assigned the title of "Needles Manager" and I proudly took on that title.  Since then, I am learning more and more and am eager to train our staff.  When I talk about Needles I continue to get excited, so much that my voice goes high and I begin to talk real fast and I have to remind myself to slow down.

Best of all -Needles is as simple as apple pie to use and the information highway is your oyster for opening!  It's like the old adage "take me away Calgon."  Needles allows you to be the most that you can be by giving you the tools you need to work with.

"...It's an administrator's Fantasy Island -

I can update all of the users at once using Microsoft Terminal Server -Wow, that last update took only 4 minutes.

Given that Needles is Terminal Server supported, I can give the attorneys access to their client information anywhere in the world just the same as if they were in the office.  The attorney can be in court using his laptop (and a GSM Card) and can pull up the Power Point presentation that was just finished at the last moment and then linked to the documents tab of the Needles profile.  We Won!

I love it when my boss asks me for a list of referrals (last year or year to date) so that he knows where to spend our advertising dollars.  No problem boss, and Bada-Bing - the report is printing out of his printer in full detail or summary mode.

Needles adds a whole new meaning to RELATIONAL DATABASE - It makes my RELATIONSHIPS easy to manage.  It's EASY to keep an accurate list of all of our providers.  Hey Phil, can you get me a list of all the dentists that we work with?  No problem!  And when one of the providers changes their address, it's painless to change the address in everyone's directory at once!  Try that in a FLAT database!

I love the way needles integrates with QuickBooks - anyone can request a check for $5.00 or $5,000.00 but it does not make sense to have checks in every printer.  Needles allows check requests from all of our offices and then SNAP-SNAP have them exported to QuickBooks."

I LOVE MY NEEDLES CASE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE BECAUSE ...

"... Wow, where could I begin.  I guess I could start with when I was five years old and began attending Kindergarten.  Like most children, I began school a bit nervous.  I was motivated to do the best I could, but I always seemed to be a bit behind.  My main problem was homework.  I had no problem completing the work.  It was remembering to put it back in my school bag that was the problem.  This carried with me through elementary school.  Book report deadlines were always missed, homework was often forgotten, and before I knew I achieved the reputation of being absentminded.

It was in college, that I learned that my memory just could not be relied upon.  I started keeping a daily planner, but would often forget to check on it.  Even when I had made the decision to go to law school, I almost missed the deadline for my application for admission.

I worked on my memory and organizational problems as I struggled  through law school.  I tried different strategies to improve on these skills, but when it came down to it, I knew I would be in trouble once I started in the "real world" and began working for a firm.

After graduation, I took a job with a personal injury law firm in Vineland, NJ.  I expected the next couple months to be vigorous and tough in trying to adapt to the demands of a firm.  To my delight, I was proven wrong.

On the first day of work, I was introduced to Needles, the software program that was being utilized at my firm.  At first, I was skeptical about being able to successfully utilize Needles.  I was constantly being told by my boss that I needed to have "Needles work for me."  I had no clue what that meant.  I only knew that Needles was designed to make my job easier, so I was motivated to learn more about its ability.  I began staying late, just to play around on the system to find out what aspects of my job it would assist me with.  Shortly thereafter, I discovered that Needles could assist me in ALL aspects of my job.

After working with Needles, I have attended seminars with speakers from different prestigious law firms that discuss how to best organize an office.  Their "methods" could not compare to what Needles does for our office.
